This innovative approach involves aligning Technora fibers within the laminate of the sail panels in a way that follows the characteristic curved path radiating from the sail’s corners.

But that’s not all. We’ve gone the extra mile to engineer a panel layout featuring continuous panels, ensuring that the fibers run uninterrupted along the entire load-bearing path, with no cuts under the batten pockets.

This ingenious design allows the super low-stretch Technora fibers to shoulder the majority of the sail’s loads, enabling us to use a thinner film and resulting in a significantly lighter sail.

CONTINUOUS PANEL LAYOUT

Continuous panels for the foot, centre, luff and leech of the sail prevent interruptions of the Technora fibers for a perfect flow of the load across the sail’s profile.

TECHNORA MEMBRANE CONSTRUCTION

Super low stretch Technora fibers of the highest quality run along the whole path of the load, which provides a smooth and incredibly light feeling.

LIGHT-WEIGHT STRUCTURE

Technora fibres allow processing of thinner film, which leads to a significantly lighter sail while maintaining stability.

4-BATTEN SETUP

Across all sizes, the IQ-ME sail features a 4-batten skeleton, providing consistent performance and handling characteristics as well as providing the perfect mix of stability and lightness.

A more compact X-Ply sail window provides great visibility as well as resistance in hardcore conditions, while eliminating unnecessary seams and interferences with other materials.
