Unmatched neutrality, great handling and versatility make the IQ-HD the sail of choice for wave riders, who aim for radical turns and cutbacks in a wide range of conditions.
A refined shape with a little flatter profile of the bigger sizes moves draft further back, which leads to less front hand pull and a lighter feeling of the board.
By lowering the clew position slightly, we achieved even better control in strong winds, especially on the smaller sizes with lighter and less physical handling.
Two continuous luff panels ensure strong and extremely efficient load distribution, which leads to smoothly generating power and drive.
All sizes feature a new one-piece mast sleeve that is lighter and leads to optimized stretch.
These traits get you on waves easily in a big range of conditions and that’s where the IQ-HD unfolds its inimitably light feeling and neutrality.

Depending on the sail model we use the suitable combination of different materials of highest quality to achieve the perfect mix of lightness, durability, power and handling. ONE-PIECE MAST SLEEVE
The one-piece mast sleeve makes the IQ-HD lighter and improves stretch characteristics.
CARBON RADIAL LOAD TAPES
Carbon tapes spread from the clew across the center of the sail for a stable profile.
EXTRA LIGHT AND DURABLE 2-PLY
1.75 mil 2-Ply in the center and 2.5 mil at the leech provide perfect combination of lightness and durability.
4 BATTENS ON ALL SIZES
Lightness paired with profile stability in all sizes.
CONTINUOUS LUFF PANELS
Two continuous luff panels ensure a strong and efficient load distribution.
COMPACT WINDOW DESIGN
A more compact sail window provides great visibility, while eliminating unnecessary seams and interferences with other materials.

Reinforcement Batten Pocket

Double Seam
This heavy duty reinforcement area through the windows on the wave sails gives solid durability at these critical areas.
Vario Top
The GA Vario top will not slip. Designed for maximum performance the GA vario top is easy to use and strong enough for the PWA. With set and forget system that means you only have to adjust it once.
Vario Pocket
A simple pocket on the top of the luff sleeve allows to to store away any excess webbing from your Vario Strap. No more flapping Vario Tops in the GA Sails range.
Vario Protection
This little add-on for the top cap on the Vario Tops protects the adjustable webbing from breaking down from wear and tear on rough ground.
Radial load tape
Comes on Manic, Manic HD, IQ and Hybrid. In addition to our radial panel layout, this reinforces the sail along the load lines whilst reducing the stretch of the material, allowing the sail to hold its shape longer when you get hit by stronger winds.

Quick, easy elasticated system that keeps sails roll up nice and tidy. Perfect when storage space is at a premium.

Mast Sleeve Opening
The GA Silicon patch above the boom cutout opens the mast pocket just a little, allowing the rider to insert the mast with just one hand, without having to move up the luff.
Tack Fairing
A redesign that makes the fold flow much easier. It is clean and just how it needs to be: Perfection!
